Contextualization
In general, the BNDES/FBB partnership has been relevant to substantiate the strategy to provide scale to BNDES's operations in supporting projects that enable the development of productive activities aligned with the promotion of conservation and sustainable use of socio-biodiversity in the country. With regard to specific action in the Legal Amazon region, the focus of the Amazon Fund's operations, with the third contract between FBB and the Amazon Fund, it is understood that there is room for expanding support and positive socio-environmental impact of its actions.
To this end, it is extremely important to adopt robust action strategies, which takes into account the particularities and limitations of each region, such as, for example, a strategy for publicizing the actions to be promoted within the scope of the partnership, aiming at mobilizing local actors and enabling the presentation of good projects. In this way, the intention is to use, among other actions, the establishment of partnerships aimed at carrying out communication actions, supporting the development of projects and clarifying doubts about the public calls. It is also relevant that: (i) transversal actions that promote better management of knowledge generated within the scope of supported activities, with actions aimed at systematizing information, disseminating results and lessons learned, knowledge sharing between actors in socio-biodiversity production chains (such as cooperatives, associations, research institutes, agroecology networks, etc.) are supported; and (ii) the practice is maintained that the actions to be supported, in particular the public calls to be published , are designed collectively, with broad participation from civil society and with investment proposals coming from the networks to be supported.
