- Mid-term evaluation report on the effectiveness of the Amazon Fund
This evaluation, covering the period from 2008 to 2018, was carried out by a team of independent consultants and completed in 2019, with technical coordination from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean - ECLAC, of the United Nations (UN). This evaluation included two complementary thematic studies that can be checked at the following links: Amazon Fund benefit distribution study and Thematic study of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) projects supported by the Amazon Fund - Thematic Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Projects to Combat Forest Fires and Unauthorized Burning supported by the Amazon Fund / BNDES
This report presents the results of the ex-post effectiveness evaluations for fire prevention projects. The evaluations were conducted by a team of independent consultants coordinated by the German Cooperation for Sustainable Development through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), under technical cooperation with BNDES regarding the Amazon Fund - See in the table below the group of projects that make up the Thematic Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Scientific and Technological Development Projects supported by the Amazon Fund / BNDES
This report presents the results of the ex-post effectiveness evaluation of component 4 “Science, Innovation and Economic Instruments” projects sponsored by the Amazon Fund / BNDES. They include the “Biodiversity”, “Amazon Bioactive Compounds”, “Mangrove Forests”, “Belém Islands” and “Amazon Public Policy Incubator” projects, which ended between 2015 and 2018. This evaluation was carried out by a team of independent consultants under the coordination of the technical cooperation between BNDES and the German Cooperation for Sustainable Development through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). -

As part of this study a film was produced highlighting the challenges of women in the countryside, the importance of these women for sustainable development and the achievements and advances in gender equality in rural areas.
